Conversation: Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow: The Rise of Alan Jackson

Alan Jackson skyrocketed to success in the early 1990s, scoring nine Top Three hits from his first two albums. But Jackson was no overnight success; for years he toured small honky-tonks, honed his songwriting, and searched for a record label that believed in him. This panel looks at Jackson’s rise through the eyes of those who played key roles in his breakthrough. Veteran record executives Tim Dubois and Mike Dungan, songwriter Jim McBride, and longtime band members will discuss the critical turning points leading to Jackson’s exceptional career. The program will be streamed live at countrymusichalloffame.org/streaming. Presented in support of the exhibit Alan Jackson: 25 Years of Keepin’ It Country. Takes place in the Museum’s Ford Theater.

Museum admission or Museum membership required for program admittance. Limited seating available. Program pass required.

PROGRAM ADMISSION:  Attendees will need a Program Pass to guarantee their seat.  Program Passes are free with Museum admission or membership, and are given out beginning two hours prior to the program on a first-come, first-served basis.  Seating is General Admission.
