Shares “Vocal Event of the Year” Award with Zac Brown Band

Alan Jackson won the 17th ACM Award of his career on Sunday (April 3), sharing “Vocal Event of the Year” honors with the Zac Brown Band for their chart-topping collaboration, “As She’s Walking Away.” The presentation of the award – to Alan, Zac, the band and producer Keith Stegall – was made backstage, prior to the ACM Awards telecast at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Alan won the “Vocal Event” award once before, with Jimmy Buffett for “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere.” Alan won his first ACM Award – “Top New Male Vocalist” – in 1991.
