ALAN JACKSON’S “AJ’S GOOD TIME BAR” CELEBRATES TEN YEARS

It’s been ten years since AJ’s Good Time Bar – country music icon Alan Jackson’s Nashville honky-tonk – opened its doors to bring real country music and good times to Nashville’s Lower Broadway…and it’s time to celebrate!

AJ’s 10^th Anniversary Celebration takes place Monday, October 5 at the bar (located at 421 Broadway in the heart of Music City), highlighted by performances from three artists who embrace and embody what country music is all about – North Carolina-born Broadway favorite Tom Baker (at 6:00pm), rising newcomer and country traditionist Carlisle Wright (8:00pm), and Chandler Walters, the songwriter behind hits by Bailey Zimmerman, Ernest and Post Malone (9:30pm).

Founded by Jackson and opened in October 2016, AJ’s Good Time Bar set the standard for the city’s celebrity establishments. The four-story honky-tonk in the heart of downtown featured daily live music and a rooftop view the day it opened – the first celebrity-branded entertainment venue in what’s become Nashville’s Neon Neighborhood.

AJ’s remains true to Alan’s original intent and goal – to carry on the tradition of the best downtown Nashville honky-tonks, giving locals and visitors alike a place where they can enjoy music that made the city famous. He promised in 2016 that AJ’s would be a spot for people who, like Alan, are all about “keepin’ it country”…and it still is. AJ’s Good Time Bar is a real honky-tonk…with real music…for real people…where – as Alan sings in the hit song that gave his bar its name – “all the conditions are right for a good time.” Not only does it carry his name – it’s his kind of place.

Since its opening, AJ’s has earned accolades – and not just from those who visit. It topped Billboard’s list of Nashville’s celebrity establishments…and came in at #1 on a subsequent list compiled by Whiskey Riff.

Alan’s impact on Nashville – beyond the songwriting, recorded music, and live performances that earned him a place in the nearby Country Music Hall of Fame – continues to grow. He’s also the man behind two of the city’s most-popular new attractions, Alan Jackson’s Silverbelly Whiskey Distillery and Museum, which opened in June…just a couple days before over 80,000 people city-wide witnessed the entertainer’s final concert held at Nissan Stadium. That event set all sorts of records and will be revisited on a new live album and an NBC-TV special later this year. 

AJ’s Good Time Bar is open daily, seven days a week, with live music until close.
