FROM CAPITOL/EMI RECORDS NASHVILLE:

3,000 FREE TICKETS TO BE RELEASED APRIL 18 FOR

ALAN JACKSON: MUSIC FOR MINERAL”

SMITHFIELD PRESENTS LIVE CONCERT EVENT

Nashville, TN (April 5, 2012) – Capitol Records Nashville will be releasing 3,000 free tickets on Wednesday, April 18 for the “Alan Jackson: Music for Mineral” Live Concert Event Presented by Smithfield.  Staff from Capitol Nashville visited Mineral in the fall of 2011 and saw the devastation first hand from the August 2011 earthquake, in particular students holding classes in trailers in the parking lot of Louisa County High School which is currently condemned. In conjunction with the town of Mineral, VA, Capitol Nashville helped plan this fundraising event to help Louisa County High School rebuild faster than their 4 year plan.

The maximum capacity event includes three options of general admission tickets.  The first two options - Gold Circle ($100) and Benefactor ($42.50) guarantee a reserved viewing location and the third option is free General Admission.  One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the Gold Circle and Benefactor tickets will fund the Louisa Education Foundation (LEF) and be used to assist the county public schools in their rebuilding efforts as a result of the August 2011 earthquake. The fund will help in the rebuilding of the Louisa County High School and be earmarked for replacement of the school’s extensively-used auditorium. Donations to the Louisa Education Foundation (LEF) can also be made at http://www.louisaeducationfoundation.org/onlinegift.html.

Those who have already purchased Gold Circle and/or Benefactor tickets can choose to be refunded for their tickets through Friday, April 13 at www.ticketfly.com.  Tickets purchased through the Mineral, VA Town Hall office can be reimbursed on site starting next week. The 3,000 free General Admission tickets will be available on a first come first serve basis on Wednesday, April 18 at www.ticketfly.com. Eventful’s Demand it!™ service booking disclaimer limited the maximum attendance to 3,000 for this event.  In an effort to raise funds for LEF, tickets are being offered for sale in addition to the free tickets.

“Alan Jackson: Music For Mineral” Live Concert Event Presented by Smithfield will be held on Sunday, May 20 at 8:00pm in the parking lot of Louisa County High School.
