ALAN JACKSON PLAYS TO OVER 30,000 IN SCANDINAVIA

NASHVILLE, Tenn.  (Aug. 16, 2011)  Country music superstar Alan Jackson just returned from a Scandinavian tour which included three shows in Sweden and Norway. During the run, Jackson played to more than 30,000 enthusiastic fans. Songs like "Good Time" and "Remember When" were clear crowd favorites, as was his current hit "Long Way to Go," which had people dancing and singing along. In Norway crowds were especially moved, as Jackson paid tribute to victims of recent bombing and shooting tragedies in the country, during his performance of “Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning).” At both shows, the names of those who lost their lives were shown on the video screens against a backdrop of roses and the Norwegian flag.

Thank you Alan for your conserts, both in Stavanger this year, and especially your consert in Bergen the 15th of August 2009. They`re both memories of life. Thank you for your music which have been in my heart since I first heard "here in the real world", over 20 years ago. Ever since you`ve always been my favorite nr. 1. Will also like to tell you that we played "how great thou art" in my mothers funeral in 2008, she loved listen to you singing this hymn. Thank you for beeing you !!!

I came all the way from "down yonder" Spain to the consert at Forus. I'm 64 years old and I've seen and heard most of the country stars in Norway, USA and Britain. Alan, you and your band are the Ice on the cake. Biggest memory for lifetime.

Hi Alan! Thanks for a great show again, as in Bergen a couple'a years ago. I was really touched by the way you honoured all the lost souls from 7/22. You will always be welcome here in Norway and maybe do a venue closer to Oslo. I believe Bjerke Travbane in Oslo would be perfect! :o)
