New article from countryweekly.com. This answers the question and explains the "recent" song Alan wrote about Denise's surviving cancer. CMT site mentioned on their article about Alan's induction to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Thanks BHR for the article link. I am so happy for them both and pray Denise continues in good health. We don't realize how important our health is until it is challenged.
