At the recent Meet and Greet with Alan in Las Vegas, there were around 20 people who went backstage to meet Alan.  As others have already posted, I am sure that these other people are promotor guests, record label guests, radio station guests, etc.  By the time that everyone was assembled and taken backstage, it was just about 20 minutes before show time.  So Alan was basically meeting and greeting fans right up to the time that he went onstage. 

So much has changed since that night in 1991.  Yet, one thing that hasn't changed --- we can never thank our military men and women enough for all the sacrifices they make to keep this great country safe. 

People who want to make a donaton to the Shriner's Hospitals are free to do so without having any associaton with Brooks and Dunn, Tim McGraw or Wal-Mart Corporation.  When you dealing with the public, you have to be cognizant that everybody has their own special charity.  Tying yourself to one charity is not good business sense.  For every one fan or customer that you make happy, there are many other fans or customers that are not happy with being "forced" into one specific charity. 

It is my understanding that four fans are chosen for each concert.

Hey, you should plan on going to Alan's concert at the Maryville, TN Fall Festival.  It is just south of Knoxville and only a few hours drive from Indiana.   

I was really glad that Alan sang the "Blues Man" which is one of my favorite Alan recordings of a song that he didn't write himself and those blue rain drops on the big screens were cool!!!

Just to clarify my posting, we did NOT go on Alan's bus --- I was just referring to how it looked from the outside.  In fact, it was pretty dark around the bus.

I just returned home today from a few days in Las Vegas.  Of course, the purpose of the trip was to attend the Alan Jackson concert at the new M Resort and the highlight of the trip was the opportunity to meet Alan before the concert on Saturday night.

We were instructed to meet about 30 minutes before the concert.  About 20 people including the fan club meet-and-greet winners were gathered together and taken outside the tent next to Alan's bus (and, of course, the term "bus" doesn't do justice to the beautiful mode of transportation)! One or two people at a time went in to meet Alan and have their picture taken with him.  Alan was very "down to earth" as expected and seemed really happy to meet some of his fans.  As each person left the tent, they also received an autographed picture of Alan.

It was a wonderful experience and something that I will never forget.

Hey fellow Alan Jackson fans, welcome to the new website!!!  I'm leaving for Las Vegas on Thursday to attend Alan's concert at the new M Resort on Saturday night.  And as a great added surprise, I was notified that I was selected as one of the meet-and-greet winners for the concert.  Yee haw!!!  I went to see Alan last year in San Jose and he really puts on an awesome concert.  I'm really looking forward to Saturday night.
