We went when Alan Introduced the first "Precious Memories", it was filmed by Gac I think too, but his family and both Alan's Mom & "Nisey's mom were there. They looked so happy, also his Girls were there & Mattie sang along with Dad in her seat, "Nisey "was there too . It was a great time. I simply love this second one also. The music and Harmony  w/the Wrights and Alan's voice never sounded better. It will be a hit I'm sure with all his Fans and a good Gift for anyone.. Everyone take care and enjoy ! Jerrie

It was awesome!!! A. J. seemed to really be enjoying himself. Densie talked about colon cancer and told about the awards and etc A. J. had won. Alan is so funny, he had on a beautiful black shirt trimmed in blue at the top, told us Denise told him to wear that shirt because blue was the color to support colon cancer. He talked more than usual last night.
Sharon, Carol, Betty and her friend and I had 4 row seats almost in the center, really good seats.
We held up the GOOD TIME signs, he pointed to them and said something about the Good Time signs and asked the camera man if he got us holding them up.

I saw your sign, we were by where Alan comes on stage, but it was really close.I saw the one who got her Hatch Show Poster signed by Alan, he was right near us then. at one show a while back, I got to see Terry, Sue and others.It was so nice to talk with Sue for a while. I also met Monty that night and shook hands with him. he's such a nice guy! So sorry I missed you Sharon
I haven't been able to be out for a while, still walking with a cane & going for tests. You really met lots of friends!

I got my wonderful copy of Precious Memories 11. I really love these older hymns and Alan does them so well.
i simply loved "Amazing Grace" done at the ole Ryman.
Nice that the Wrights sang background. really nice and the musicians were perfect too. I have always loved "Amazing Grace" and had it done as a Special, at my mother's funeral in 2009 in our old Country Church in MS.She always loved that song. well really all of these Songs, we sang in Church..
 It really touched my Heart hearing Alan sing it. Thanks Alan for doing this , it's simply so well done and Alan's Voice was in top form. God Bless, Jerrie

This is dizzy just want to let you know that I am doing
                                 fine ....Mazie has not been doing so well but she is taking
                                 taking therapy 4 days a week and is beginning to feel better,..
                                 We plan on going to Nashville 1st of June hoping Alan will
                                 be at fan fair again this year...dizzy

Dizzy I hope you are ok as well.I wish you could have gone to the Ryman. we drove 12 hrs to MS first, rested one day and visited, then drove to Nashville and back home last night. we are so tired. We missed Church today.Glad you will see Alan in June and so glad to know you are improved.
we have had a rough February too, still walking w/my cane and not much weight gain after seeing a nutritionist.sp? That reaction to the medicine was severe, I had bronical problems w/Asthma.
 At least March is starting off Great after having seen Alan at the Ryman! The weather was terrible in Alabama and when we got back to FL, we were under a tornado watch, it rained and rained.. Not a very good welcome home ha!I enjoyed the weather in Nashville. I would love to buy a cabin there, to see my children more.Our son was so glad to see us & the Twins had grown so much & so sweet.I ordered  Precious Memories 11 last night. Love this one as well.

So glad "Mattie" got to see Dad at the Austin Show! I guess it was "Dani "at the Ryman. I know Alan is proud of his Girls. It's Great "Mattie" got to see Alan at this Venue.

 Must have been a great Show! Thanks Alan, for the  salute to our nation’s military. That means a lot to those Guys & their loved ones. My husband is retired military and a Vietnam veteran.This was during the draft in an unpopular War. They would have loved to have been saluted, but My husband actually saw some that were spat on.. They served and I am proud of my Husband's service.
Thanks Alan! we have flown our Flag for Years also. Our son was born while his dad was in war, a very difficult time for us.I was alone & had our daughter also to care for, so it isn't an easy life. I commend all our troops for serving and say Thank YOU!
Being a military wife isn't easy, so my thanks to the families now also.

[What a Night! a Great Concert and cause too! Sorry we missed seeing you Fans but we had driven 12 hours to MS then left there for Nashville & just got home late last night. we ate at The Palms before, hoping to run into some Fans. At least the food was Great! we were killing time, hoping to see you Guys before the concert. went in the shop area too.Didn't know who was holding the sign "GOOD TIME" but we saw you then! Later or before, we saw noone we knew. The couples next to us said they Loved Alan & The Strayhorns. we were to the left of where Denise was, where Alan comes out. we could see him really well and so close.It was an awesome show, much more music than I had expected. Alan was in great form and Denise made such a great Intro for Alan. She looked so great, it was good to see her looking so beautiful after having gone through so much. we got real close seats( Thanks to the Fanclub) & could have got something signed but after that drive, we were feelinga bit tired. I clapped so much my fingers were actually blue ha! The StrayHorns were in great form as usual and I love the new fiddle player, plays mandolin too.! Great job Guys! we enjoyed the songs from Craig Campbell and Wade Hayes also! That was a great surprise. we sat right by where Alan said Denise and his daughter were! I was hoping to meet "Nisey" and tell her what a great intro she gave Alan! She looked wonderful! I loved her books too ! Alan signed it for me once..Like I said it was an awesome show! My husband said" it was one of the Best Concerts and Songs in great order",But Alan is great at this. Alan said "He wasn't sure he could get through it. I had to tear up as my sister got cancer about the same time as Denise. She's a happy survivor too! Nan Kelly and her husband , who help found the " Blue Note Fund" spoke and I never dreamed they would have enough time left for Alan to do so many songs. I really enjoyed Alan's "When I Saw You Leaving" for his "Nisey", I really was touched by this song & cried, Alan did this song alone and played it so special.Alan closed his eyes, like he does at times, when singing this one.. It really bothers me that Alan's music is not playing here much, except his older work. All they seem to play is the "newbie" stuff and frankly I do not like some of it.Looking forward to Alan doing another Gospel
one! He is all over the place recently, even Hawaii !

They play Straits music more everywhere, even here locally. I wish Alan would drop by and visit the DJ Craiger on 999Gatorcountry WGNE,7 PM he's a great guy! Just if Alan would call at 1-800-725-9990 & chat a while on radio.
 WQIK would play him also . but they play all of his older Songs mostly. Thye play Alan's Songs with Zac Brown Band often. That is why I said Alan's Single should be"Dixie Highway" w/Zac Brown Band to get more airplay.Jeri

I wasn't sure how they handled people going up to the rail at the Ryman.  The 2 times I saw him I sat in my seat and they let everyone come close.  I had great seats both times so I didn't mind sitting too much.   I'd like to go down front this time since I"m travelling so far to see him.  I want to bring my Sweetbriar book for him to sign from the stage if possible.Can't wait for March 20th!!!!!  Woooo Hoooo!!!!
Counting the days.....

I have gone to the Ryman and GOO several times and close seats. I could almost touch Alan but sometimes at the GOO, they are filming(GAC) and you can't get close, or you might get hit by the camera's following the Singer & Band. I did walk down to take photos, however. Now I can't walk alone, so that is out .Hubby will most likely take photos,
he hasn't been told we are going yet lol. I'm looking forward to going, I hope he drives me, or he loses money LOL
The New GOO is nice and I love the Ryman! I need to get out after having been ill for so long "Woo Hoo" is right!
