Just back from a visit to my parents.  My aunt and uncle from California were here visiting.  So it was fun to visit with them...  Exhausted.Getting so excited for my trip to Florida next weekend.

It's always nice to have relatives come, I used to enjoy everyone coming to Florida more to visit but now I get exhausted ha!
My son is due to go by here to their timeshare in cocoa Bch and we will be leaving for Florida, the drive to Hollywood is anywhere from four hours, to more for us. I'm excited about that Venue but I am congested and don't feel my best, asthma w/humidity.
If we m iss my son going by, we will go see them down there & keep the babies & let them have a break maybe. They are so cute now and so big! twins but so opposite.  Boy cries and the girl doesn't. well really they take turns lol, poor parents , never get good sleep.
Sure hope BHR is ok and moved fine.. I heard about the Manila floodings, it was horrible. so sorry for her relatives, prayers for all the people. maybe the Churches will help the people find shelter, they do here when needed.
Harriet glad it has stopped the rain, my neice will be happy & you too. Looking good here for Alan's Concert. should be cooler at night. we are going to the Hollywood one , so we have a long drive, just here in Florida and just get back & then St Augustine. Hubby is not feeling his best either. Not sure I can get him to go to the KingFish Grill, he works that day before & will be tired. It's not that huge, but the food is good. maybe some can go since Pontus and  Sabrina will be there. Not sure how they have time to go to Memphis, Nashville & then drive here in time. we can't make that drive that quick. Jean/B yes we plan to go to both Venues!
Sue , Dizzy , Sharon,Terry and all of you will see you at St Augustine hopefully( unless Mom's condition changes) Never knowing is a killer. It changes weekly almost but my sister is there now.

Actually I don't get as excited when Alan isn't on but I do like Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood as Hosts.

Carrie conducts herself like a nice young Lady and I admire her for this. change clothes as often as she wants. Designers
most likely ask  her to wear their clothes..

I wish Alan's song ( Sissy's Song)could receive some kind of special award, for Inspirational on there also.  His work always has great messages.
 I feel some of the lyrics on some singers songs are not too good for our children. Alan's  always a good topic or lesson in them.
we always have  had drinking song , honk tonks & women songs but they appear as outside the norm, even if not so. Do you think Artists owe a certain amount of consideration to our youth and what they are being exposed to? the lingo or words that are deplorable, the song is just as good without those. I have heard great songs ruined by one outrageous word or line. why inject violence or hatred... there is enough in this world already and I want our young people to know that the Good outweighs the Bad. Are they getting that in music you think? they do in Alan's music
It's all about Love,Family, fun and the important things in life. That is why I like Alan's, Brad's Songs also and others..
So many good Voices out there now! but are the messages good for us to hear over & over... not so sure..

are CD's still rated, not sure myself. parents are not always aware of what their children listen to, as the result of the internet..
Just thinking about how Music has gross words in it nowdays that are sexual content.. this should not happen. Not sure most parents are aware of this even..  sorry for going off on this, but it concerns me. I am not a prude, just do not use these words in my Life.
 Give me a good ole Love Song any day..Give me an ALAN JACKSON SONG! GIVE US HOSTS THAT REPRESENT COUNTRY MUSIC IN A GOOD LIGHT> SUCH AS BRAD & CARRIE!

You are so right, I loved Just  to meet him.. He looks much better in person, up close... My hubby just said today when  looking at Alan's new Video of "I Like Bologna", " that's a much deeper Video than you think." He said "That is a good Video and so cute, the children." that is a miracle as he never says ANYTHING about Alan. I was shocked, but he is so right..

Good, I hope the people in Newnan are ok too. sounds like Florida with the sink holes. so much rain, so quickly, softens the ground.
I hope it has stopped for everyone's sake.. have you heard from BHR yet? whata  time to have to move, plus after surgery. I hope
she takes care of herself and makes the move fine. I love the area there, my sister used to live in Fayetteville.

I want to know if anyone has been receiving email updates from this fan club.  I used to receive emails all the time about shows that Alan will appear on TV, concerts that are coming up in the future and any other news.  But ever since this new website has been set up, I am not getting them anymore.  On my profile, it has a checkbox for email updates and I have checked that off, but everytime I come back to this website, the check mark is gone.  Can anyone help me.

Cindy said they sent me one and I'm on the list, so maybe soon.. she said they mailed me one about the big  Concert@Lake Martin.

we had to cancel our trip to MS.. rain is forcast for parts of AL , MS , TN GA... I hope you will be ok where you are and my neice too. we decided with all the rain it's not a good time to travel when  we can go another time soon. just too dangerous.
Harriet let me know about your weather there if and has it changed to more rain. Harriet at my age I realized just how quickly one can get really ill, and weak.. I hope your hubby & you feel stronger soon and back to good health.

PS- I hope Bill and wife have no problems traveling to see AJ. TN was listed for rain and they were to go by Nashville.  This has been unusual rain.
Elaine my teen came over last night and she is enrolled in school to learn to drive. she gets points of her insurance that way too.

Hello everyone.  Well it is almost here.  One more sleep and then I get the MEET and GREET of a lifetime.  Any advice for bad nerves?  I just hope I don't go into shock, or cry or faint!!!!  I am getting all ready tonight so tomorrow we make the 2&1/2 journey to Orillia!  Will send my picture when I get it!!!  YEE-HAW!

Oh just relax and enjoy it!.. If I can make it, anyone can ha! I must admit I did have a drink at dinner, so perhaps this helped
the ole nerves. I just started talking to him like anyone else. If I had thought about how much I admired him for his music, I would have cried and it would have been an ugly mess.ha! Had to stay ok for the photo with my favorite Country Singer.
Come back & tell us all about your experience.. it is so heavenly, I'll never forget it.. ever.. He is super nice! I also saw Roger with his big smile and said "Hi Roger!" he is so nice too and a nice looking guy. So is Alan , I could not look, until I was leaving him lol

also remember the Classics IV Jean/az , My hubby worked with one of the guys,  they broke up a while and now were back to recording until Dennisl Yost ( lead singer)died recently. he went to his funeral. He records people now and is into gospel music, his name is Wally Eaton. He works now as a professor here in Jax..
who else have you seen in Vegas Jean/az?  That is the only reason I would like to go there when we retire, I'm no gambler. ha!

Margie hi, I thought you seemed familar, yes it was from K&W I remember you. I hope you recover well from that surgery.
Harriet, so glad it is not bad where you are. My neice said it rained so much that her roof had water come in from someplace & leaking ceilings. She has a two story beautiful home & now this. The rain was no storming, just like Flash flooding , constant.
Her son's school is shut down now & her daughter went to work by her hubby driving her in his big truck, she's a nurse. I hope her home is not ruined she just had the wood floors done and it's so beautiful. maybe it will stop soon & not do more damage. The most sad article I read  was the Mom who could not hold on to her child, current was so strong, they held on to one , however..lost one
It's muddy water & thick rushing. can't imagine the horror that mom must endure. prayers for all the people.

My sister said it is still raining there( MS) and since mom is a bit better ( as she ever will be) we are not going this weekend. it might be bad in AL too, she said.Thye have stayed home now for three days . Thy will try and go out another route there and see Mom. They are in no danger. Just about 3 ins of rain . some hwys are closed at times.
Terry glad you got the problem taken care of and can come to FL.. we have to go to Hollywood first..then St Augustine. My hairdresser I use is closed, what a time, my hair is a mess being in the hospital etc.. oh well, they will be looking at Alan Ha!

They said they would fix it in a day or so, it is all over town , different places. san marco etc.

Jean/az glad your weather is cooling, they said FL Temp should be lower at night soon, that is in St Augustine, so that is good.
My scan was ok last time but as one gets older, they may have to take meds.. I hope not for me. I know some who do.
Elaine that seems warm for you this time of year. this weather has changed all over and nowhere is the same. My teen is getting her training at her school, to cut cost on insurance. she really doesn't care for driving much. she said her university would have
things around and she would not need a car lol.. she studies all the time and is planning her future.  She loves her teachers. My daughter is manager at her business and she has so much responsibility! I wish she didn't have to work.
They think hubby's test for his kidneys is ok but a Dr is to tell him.. hope so. he goes to Dr a Lot being diabetic.. but eyes were ok too, so lots to be grateful for. Harriet, take care if it keeps raining there around.. be safe all of you traveling to FL.
