Dizzy,
All of you Fans, never give up on meeting Alan.. congrats to ajthecatsmom again! It is the best experience and one that lasts too. That makes it even better. It lingers and you remember every moment, every word said.. and not said lol.. I had wanted to Thank Alan for all his beautiful Music and songs and how they had blessed my life. Never came close to that. I was a bit nervous at home but not there standing next to him. He has this way of making you feel special.. He is a tall lanky guy that is so super nice.. I hope for all of you to meet him and never give up! He probably thinks we are silly for thinking of him this way, but he is a Wonderful Country Singer, how often do you get to meet someone you admired for years! ALAN JACKSON MAKES MY LIFE BETTER! He will never know how he influences peoples lives, by his gift of Songs, the super nice man that he is. Thank You, Thank You Alan!!
Jerrie aka Artsy- MS & FLorida!!!
PS- I met Alan for my Meet and Greet in Tupelo , MS where Elvis lived Yo! Roger I enjoyed meeting too! His big smile was priceless! also meeting Monty Allen was great in St Augustine, he is so talented also so sweet! You Guys "be Sweet", as Alan said when leaving.. My Dad used to say that to us and he was the "Small Town Southern Man" Alan sings about. He was the best farmer in our county and got the most cotton per acre, he was my hero and a wonderful farmer of cotton & later soybeans. he had hundreds of acres to farm and that is hard work! We had everything we needed as young children, love, food, shelter and Church and all our community helped instill values in our lives. I still love the Country in Mississippi, always will. That is why it was so special that I got a Meet and Greet in Mississippi! Thank You , Thank You!!!

Sue, Great Review!!! Our photos were not that good since they told us to take our good camera back to the car.. You looked pretty , however.. Can't believe mine were good, I'm not photogenic at all, but yours look so sweet.. really enjoyed our time , sure wish my husband and I had time to meet all of you at the Conch house, but my son was here late with my new babies. could never leave them and will see them again too.
Sue, so glad to know you got home all the way from MN ok. Your hubby should come with you for sure! My husband goes to the symphony but he never refuses to drive me to an Alan Concert. Well actually he loves to eat & I would boycott the kitchen if he didn't lol j/k remember Sue, I told you how long we had been married ha! It works. we married at 2 or 3 lol The concert was really uptempo in Hollywood, even more so than St Augustine I think. Oh Yes, at St Augustine the guards were standing by the side in the pit area..so that may be why you din't see them. I heard a group pf people talking and looked and it was "Strayhorn & backup singer w/Alan,Monty Allen", so I jumped up and asked him if I could shake hands with him, he is super nice! He said "yes!" and was so kind and I could hardly speak from yelling & asthma, so I told him(of all things ha) he said "do you use that albuterol" I do ha! I had seen him a lot of times and never spoke to him, ,love his voice and his own CD! nice meeting him.Sorry I failed to tell him that .I heard Terry say" this is Jerrie",so I probably interupted something ha! Thanks Terry for the introduction, my thoughts were failing me.. I never did see you then ha! but thanks for Terry to the rescue!
I am so terribly sorry we didn't get to meet Pontus and Sabrina, please accept our apology. our son came in and we just could not leave. Come back again and visit Florida! we saw you and the Flag from our seats! I am not good to go all over meeting people, but I love people. I guess I'm a bit like Alan( only I talk a LOT!)What a great memory seeing the ones we saw and hearing the best Country Singer. And I thought he had left Florida out of his Tour ha! Two concerts in a few days is the BEST! After meeting Alan , I feel like I know him even more, anyone else? what a night!! I lost my voice from yelling and Hubby loves it lol j/k not really ha! Blessings to all, Jerrie Aka Artsy sue loved our little visit and my hubby did too! Thanks! Dizzy thanks for your coming my also, my hubby likes you! The concert in St Augustine was much like the one at Hollywood, but Chris Young didn't sing there. I like his new song!
Sabrina and Pontus, Thanks for making our Concerts so much fun by sharing your experiences and beautiful photos. It was made even more wonderful by seeing all your Posts about your trip! You made it so much fun for us to enjoy reading and seeing the photos. My Husband made a photo of you and your Sabrina with the Flag at St Augustine but he has not downloaded them yet, we had to take our good camera back to the car, so this was just a small cheap one..I was hoping we could meet up with you guys all back before the Concert but could not see anyone. we had drinks at a nice place by the Venue & rested up from walking so much. St Augustine surprised me with this pretty nice venue, we never go to outdoor ones as I'm asthamatic, but it was cool being by the side and row 6. You could probably see better than us being in the center. Sharon, sorry I missed seeing you! So happy all of you got to meet up with Sabrina and Pontus at the Conch House. Sounds like fun! Sorry we missed that.. Such a pleasure having Sabrina and Pontus visit with Fans from Here , just wish I had been there! Come back to FL again sometime! BTW- Congrats on your being wed in that beautiful old church there and marvelous honeymoon here!Much . Much Happiness to You in the future! Jerrie aka Artsy--FL & MS I hope someone has some nice photos at St Augustine!

What a nice sunny day!
A nice beginning for an Alan Jackson concert, in Hollywood, Florida’s Hard Rock Casino! First thing we see are Alan’s trucks parked! Plus the big White Limo! I must admit, it’s quiet a thrill to see! You know The Man and the Strayhorns have arrived! Acting silly, I ran to have my photo made by Alan On the trucks!
We came early to see if we saw any fellow Fans but we didn’t, so we decided to walk around and just find something to eat until time to pick up our tickets, at will call.
The guards at the venue were super nice and told us where and how to get to our seats. They were Very nice about us taking our camera in etc.
When we were seated, we saw Terry down front Talking to the people, so I made my way to speak To her and say hello. We were on row six further back, but a nice view!
No opening, but we were thrilled to hear Alan and The Strayhorns for the whole concert!
I was excited to see Alan and the Strayhorns, the first time since my Meet and Greet, which was the most wonderful experience of my life, in Mississippi my home state! A long drive, but what a nice experience! Unforgetable for sure!
When the countdown started I knew it was time for Alan to perform. He got a great welcome and the audience seemed to be everyone from children to older adults, just having a great time! The music was more up tempo than usual, it seemed. So people were dancing in the aisles, especially one cute little boy the photographer focused on. The older man in front of us was Dancing & enjoying himself alone. The crowd was Excited! Alan sang a mixture of older songs and new ones. I liked the new ones but my husband Really enjoyed the older ones. He enjoyed the Mercury Blues encore! My favorite always is “The Bluesman” and “Where Were You.” He did “a Woman’s Love” which I really love. Also, “Like Red On A Rose”, LOVE IT! Among many others, such as “Livin’ on Love”, “Country Boy”, "Good Time" “Summertime Blues”, to name a few! The crowd grew louder with each song, it seemed. Alan and the crowd seemed to be having a great time, I know we were!
Alan was wearing a pretty green shirt and his holey jeans! He and the band always look nice. He told the crowd “he had had been fishing that day” and “went up the St Johns”which is near us.
Just a great up-tempo Concert again, but wonderful to see Alan and the Strayhorns! Wonderful to see another Great Alan Jackson Concert in Florida! Thanks for another lovely evening of Great Country Music!
Jerrie-aka Artsy---MS-FL Only a few photos to share, sorry- some repeats-
-- not too good- go to detailed view and arrow over is best.

Hello Friends. My 1st post on this Oct. thread- have really been under the weather. I'm thinking this could be the Swine Flu. My temp spiked to 102 Friday night & have had a pretty rough weekend. But came over to post Power Picks for tomorrow so thought I would drop by & leave a short note. Just here at home recuperating & only a low grade temp now & a cough but need to get my strength back as I feel like a shell of a person. But I know it will get better & I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow.
Harriet, Geeze I hope youa re much better now, you have really been ill. I have thought of you so much. Keep us up to date on how you are hon and take care , get pleanty of rest. Hugs and prayers. The concers were great. Wish you could have come . more later, take care, Jerrie aka Artsy

Tomorrow before the concert, Dizzy, Sue, Mae, Bill and I are going to the Conch House for dinner. We are going at 4:30....we can pick up our tickets at 6:30 and the amphitheatre is very close to the restaurant. Anyone who wants to have a pre-concert party...come join us!
Jinx,
So sorry we could not make it to kingFish Grill or the Conch House.. My son just came by our house and I had to play with my grand babies. I don't get to see them often and could not miss the chance, so sorry. I tried to bribe my husband into walking down to meet the newly weds with me, but no luck, he was tired. we saw you guys with your Flag and my Husband made photos of you. They made us take our good camera back to the car, we have taken it with us always but this grouchy lady , said " well that is not this venue." so we have no good photos, thanks to her. a first for us, only a small cheap camera and my husband found later the batteries were about gone . I apologize for not getting to meet Sabrina & Pontus. we did see you however from a distance..
Sue came down to visit with us a while, she is so sweet, Thank you so much Sue. and then she brought Dizzy down too, it was great to see her also. I'm not one to go meet people. Thanks Sue for being so thoughful and we enjoyed seeing you so much. Terry , I heard you but never did see you when I shook hand with Monty.. Thanks for introducing me or telling him my name. I have been by him lots of time and always wanted to meet him , so while I had a chance I went for it. He is such a nice guy and I like his work too. What a great trip for Pontus and Sabrina, you guys will collaspe when you get back.So happy you got to see Alan's House and /or Garage and cars. , that was great , not everyone gets to see them.. I would have turned around in a NY minute, like you did and driven back to Nashville to see that. You have to be tired being in the car that long. You are great Fans and it's been such a pleasure seeing all your photos which are excellent and your account of your trips. what a Honeymoon!!! I am so happy for you both!Congrats and come back to see us again, perhaps in Nashville or anywhere you can relax and enjoy! I hope the KingFish Grill was ok for you guys, we had not eat there for a while but the food was ok then..Sorry I missed that, but grand babies I had to stay and see them here. They are twins, so we were rather tired, the little bundles of Joy are heavy lol.
Jinx, so glad you all got to meet up with Sabrina and Pontus at least.. The concert was good and Venue ok for outdoor.. Our first outdoor one. I could hardly speak for asthma but I made it Yea!! almost lost my voice at Hollywood yelling too lol. Today is rest up Day , will see the twins later too.
Anyway, Pontus and Sabrina, so glad you enjoyed your trip and come back to the USA again soon. we met a couple from Germany also. Take care to all and Thanks again to Sue for coming and sitting with us for a while, I hope I didn't ruin your pretty photos. I am not photogenic at all but your photo will be lovely. Sue, My husband thought you were so nice to come down and bring Dizzy with you. He is a big tease and joker as you can tell ha. a good husband. Lator Gators, no photos to post , so sorry..I hope some of you have some good ones..I enjoyed Alan as usual and liked the Songs he chose. So happy he sang "WWY" as Pontus and Sabrina wanted to hear it..In an Indoor Venue when Alan sing this, the place has lights all over where people hold them as he sings, but this venue wasn't as many. Take care and hello to Everyone readning this! Terry I heard your voice but sorry I didn't get to tell you goodbye..I hope all of you traveling makes it back fine!
God Bless, Jerrie aka Artsy Dizzy, you looked wonderful, I hope you & your Sis are fine. Sue take care hon. Terry too , in fact all of you who traveled so far to see Alan- Terry I forgot, we did see Your Signs, my husband happened to notice them and told me.

I want to have photo of myself with Alan to show all my kids when they come on Sunday for dinner.
Nannylin, there is a link posted on here to view photos , most meet & greets photos are on there. It has all the dates and places, just find your place and look under that link. I think it was under where she had a Meet & greet,,I can't find the link, but will look and come back ok..nannylin i sent you a link in a messagew not sure it went ok., sorry, Jerrie aka Artsy-MS-&FL
