Jean/B,
I have seen both in person and I have to agree with you, even being a woman. ha! Faith Hill is Beautiful & Kellie has a figure to die for!
I prefer Alan as the sexiest Male in Country Music , however.

Our local radio Station and others I get Emails from, said "Garth will be appearing there and with a airplane for his use to fly back and forth to be with his family." a good deal I would say.

Terry hi!
Perhaps Sue meant the picture of the cake( hat)
Terry you know they didn't sign at St Augustine and this is my first outdoor Arena, Does Alan sign at some of them? You have been to all kinds. Also when we were at Hollywood years ago and Alan had LBT with him, we could have had our photo made with them and met them at the break but we were afraid of missing some of Alan's Songs. we had front row later at the Opry and I said Hello to Phillip and he waved to me,Hubby made the photo of it. LBT was appearing with Alan, also Darius Rucker, and others. a great show! Terry , take care are you going to he LA one also? Be careful and thanks for a great review of TN!! I hope Alan got to be with his Family for his Birthday too.

I saw the commercial and it sure sounds like THE PIckler ! ha! Love her music and voice! She was with Alan for a concert, I read..
I hope she keeps her head on straight and doesn't lose her good rep like some younger ones have. She seems very wise for her age and plenty of good common sense. So mature, even when funny! She has some good songs out.

Most other Singers boards have one area where anyone can post and meet Fans. Then one area where only PL Fans can post.. more private. I think the old way encouraged more people to join. I too miss the ones who could only listen to what Fans said about Alan's Concerts. I miss Paula , she contributed so much to the board. I miss Astrid, Joey and others also.
If Pontus and Sabrina were not members, we may never hear from them again. I thought only Fan Club Members could try for the Meet & Greets but maybe I'm wrong. I have been waiting to see how Pontus & Sabrina enjoyed the show! So happy they were able to view Alan's house Garage area & Cars..Thye really showed Alan support in Sweden with the cars there at the Venue.
I suppose it was set up this way to keep Spam to a minimun.

Terry, Dot and Sharon,
Thanks for the review. I think that area has become rather reserve but at least he had you ladies, Terry, Sharon & Dot for great support! Thanks for sharing about Alan's Birthday. The Hat Cake sounds great! So glad you had your Signs there and his reaction was great! That big card was a great idea too! You ladies hang in there and don't get pneumonia! I'm sure you didn't mind being cold & wet for Alan, I hope they had heaters for Alan on Stage.. His shirt sounds nice! I was hoping Denise might be there since it was near the weekend & close.
Terry did you note that not as many people stood the whole time in Hollywood also. They did dance etc.. but when he sang they sat and made me feel I should. They even sang along at times, but when WWY came on not many stood. I held my light the whole time and sat too, to not block others as I'm tall. St Augustine really had a blast watching Alan, when you look at the photos, you can see they were really into his music !
So glad you were there Terry & Ladies to represent our gang of Fans! Enjoy being together and thanks for a great review of Alan's Birthday Concert! Take care traveling, Jerrie aka Artsy-FL-MS PS- I enjoyed meeting Monty at St Augustine, so glad you got to talk to him. He is super nice! Like his CD!

First to Jean-Az- My heart goes out to you & your family. Have a flareup of tendinitis in my Rt shoulder- keeping posts short. The doctor says there is still some pneumonia on xray but it looks better. Now using an inhaler & mucomyst & trying to be patient. Jeri- I know you can relate to using inhalers. Air quality here very poor right now. Love to All.
Harriet, so sorry you have tendinitis now.seems like they should have given you a big shot or kept you there a while. Yes, I use two inhalers each day and even when speaking to MontyAllen, I was horse being out in the open air Venue and he said "do you use albuterol" and that is one of mine. They gave mom's sister breathing treatments for pneumonia I sure will be glad when you get over this. Thinking of you, glad it looks better on x-ray. Take care , even if you have to keep going back. you have been sick a long time. I use my inhaler a lot during this type weather, where it's hot one day and cold the next. someone said Alan had allergy too at St Augustine. So glad it had gotten slightly cooler at night, for the Concert. Get well soon Hon..Hugs, Jerrie

i hate to say it but but i think the only MEN that still make country albums are Alan Jackson, George Strait, and Brooks n Dunn
I tend to agree with you. When you think of Country Music. Also Trace Adkins has some good songs out. Personally I feel the only way that it can possibly be fair is to have different catagories in Country Music. Pop Country, Southern Country, Traditional Country, Country rock & roll, or whatever they need to make it fair. How can Taylor Swift compete with George StraiT and be fair? Her style is not Country to me. Obviously the Business goes for the younger generation. Leann Rimes sang Country at 13 , she did a great Patsy Cline called "Blue"She sang Country from day one.
Just my opinon

Jean/B , I can certainly identify w/your FIL and your having to care for relatives. So sorry for your wife having to care for such health problems. diabetic, rheumatism & epilepsy. My mom has cancer & we drive a long distance to check on her. My sister is there anytime we are not, but her husband is retired now. It's still difficult for family to care for older adults. it means you can't always take trips and do as you would like. So sorry. Maybe sometime you can return to see Alan.I work out on treadmill in my home, your idea w/your bike is a great workout! Jean/az, I hope you are ok, thinking of you & yours w/prayers. Terry , Sharon, Dot is already there in TN for Alan's Birthday & Concert! Sounds like they are having a good time. A Big hug for all of Alan's Fans! and Happy Birthday! Elaine it is cooler her today & will be in NY while we are there looks like. can't imagine it being that cold. I will have to drag out my coat to go to NY. we will be seeing the Vermeer paintings which is 17th century dutch I think. just missed the Michelangelo exhibit but I love Vermeer's "The Milkmaid" Terry Tn might be a bit cooler now. I hope you took a coat. I know it's a front coming down from Canada & my sister in MS says it's cooler there now. It's even a bit cooler her in FL evenings. I love the cool but lingering cold , I do not like. Elaine sounds like you had a great view the other place you lived. can't imagine seeing threee lakes from a patio. we are more inland here in FL and I like that better w/hurricanes. welcome Guen, Alan is supposed to be in Canada again soon. maybe you might see him then. I hope the weather will be ok for him to travel there. Take care everyone and let's remember Jean/az in our prayers. Oh I forgot, if you look at the photos of Sue and myself, I sat by a guy that looked a lot like Trace Adkins when he came to sit down.,by me. he was real nice when I told him, really tall but not as large as Trace. he took it as a compliment, he said ha! His lady with him said they had not seen Alan before, so they seemed to have liked him. I hope they didn't mind my screaming lol Thye clapped loud at Alan's "Remember When". I also met a couple from Germany there going in at St Augustine. Take care, Jerrie aka Artsy-FL-MS

He didn't win. Craig Morgan got the video and I didn't recognize the other. You can access the site through the fan club news. Too bad...he so deserved it.
It must be the airplay, the reason it won. Craig's song has been played by our local DJ's, in fact I thought too much. Alan's should have won, I feel. Craig was accepted into the Opry recently, so I think it must be Craig's song "God Must Really Love me" which is a good song ..Sissy's Song still plays here locally.
I requested Alan's new one and thus far, they have not answered or played it. Basically the station and/or air play have a lot to do with how the song does. I'm so tired of hearing Taylor Swift, she is over played..naturally there are other factors involved into the selection, nationwide. Taylor's music to me is geared toward the younger audience, but who is listening to radio, certainly not many younger people, they are glued to their I-Pods. Moms at home listen and the older crowd.
without our money, the Opry would not do so well, so why not play up to those who have the money, instead of children. Not many if any children, even go to the Opry.
Alan's "Sissy's Song" has remained in the 20's on our local stations.

Jeri - if the kids in my life did that they would be in more trouble than they could imagine LOL- that isn't what kids do around here - lol I would like to hear what your husband sees in that video - I don't get the deeper meaning suggestion- I do hope they kick something else out soon - this one has tanked! There are still some really good things on that album and I'd hate to have to wait too much longer for a new song - geez - we had such long dry spells between ROAR and Good Time....I need more frequent Alan fixes.....;>)
January, It's a Video, those children would not really do this inside. ha! Outside, maybe..Alan's Mom might have spanked his behind for doing this, like mine would have. LOL I lived in the Bible belt in MS but they used the Bibical way, to "Chasten your children."
My husband said the video showed that even with modern things, children are still basically the same. Also It was Alan saying with all the modern conveniences, Alan still likes the things he enjoyed earlier in life.. but he still keeps up with the changing times .The Title sounds like a basic Country Song..I love a lot of the others on the CD. Imagine it's difficult to put an album together and tour as much as Alan has recently. Even extending his Tour to Sweden, Norway, and lots of dates in Canada. How does he have the time to record and put together an album w/this schedule. All his songs are good on each CD. I would love to hear some Love Songs, Heaven knows we need more Love in our childrens lives and ours." Rainy Day In June "is a lovely song and his voice is wonderful in that one! He does all his songs the Best! So many new songs out there now days. I love Alan's voice the BEST! Jerrie-aka Artsy-MS-FL

Jean/az , I am so terribly sorry for You & your loved ones. I think this is the hardest passing for any family to accept.. It is such a shock for all .You and your loved one will certainly be in my prayers.
We always think this only happens to others but never thinking it can happen to us. God Bless You & your beloved relatives. One can't recognize this to help, that's what makes it difficult. Take Care, Hugs and Prayers, Jerrie-FL

January, I had not heard who it was this year. I think Trace Adkins has this way about him that is so charming. He will most likely laugh at this article and take it in stride. Love his long hair and it fits his tall statusque frame. His shy grin is appealing for a seemingly tough guy image.. Trace does songs like his "Badonkadonk" and it's just fun for him.. He is a nice guy seemingly, loved hearing him answer the questions Fans sent in, on Nan Kelly show. He seems tough, but he is a nice family guy I feel. His Songs are great! He seems to respect women and cares about his family. I haven't noted any disgusting language in his Music nor have I heard him say any.
I like Alan looking like he did in my Meet and Greet, not the scuffy look but younger people like this. he is so handsome and just super nice! I would think he is one of the most Sexy Country Music Singers, tall, good shape, hamdsome, charming . has this way about him, that is so real, Sings like a lark.Love the way he dresses and his humble ways. He is humble but very smart, but not one to brag & I love this. It just seems to be his nature.I'm not impressed with the Younger, It's is not necessarly the most sexy, my opinon. Thanks for posting.
