BHR-I doubt if GAC does another show on this. Love this  one and especially "Amazing Grace" and others, well really the whole DVD. Didn't they say Alan is coming out with another new one soon? BHR, My letter I got was a few years back. so things could have changed.Thanks for reminding me about Alan & Garth, I do remember that now. Garth's popularity seemed to grow after that Huge concert in NY . I did feel Alan was left out too.
After having met Alan, I think he gets his rewards by performing. He loves what he does. Like you BHR, I would love to see Alan get Inducted and I'm positive he will one day. Alan isn't the type to "kiss up to people,"so to speak" to get awards and special favors. He is the real deal and after meeting him and seeing how very humble the man is, I know he is happy now and doesn't worry about it.His many Awards and so many hits ,appears to be just fine with Alan.
I can understand your anger however. I , myself get angry & can't figure out why, when all the World seems to adore Alan, people in Nashville seem Blase. They have the Best Country Singer in the World, right in Nashville!
 we Fans want to hear about him more.

 The first one was such a blessing also I took it to my mom's NH in MS before she passed away and took our Laptop computer to play it on. It was a memory I shall never forget, my mom old & feeble but trying to actually lip sync those great hymns she sang in Church! I once wrote to the HOF to ask this very Question and this was their reply;
Below;
"Election to the Country Music Hall of Fame is solely the prerogative of the CMA. New members, elected annually by an anonymous panel of industry leaders chosen by the CMA, are formally inducted in special, invitation-only ceremonies held at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum's Ford Theater."

So the HOF has nothing to do w/whom is inducted, is how I took this to mean.. It went on to thank me by name etc and
I want to visit the new HOF Building, it sounds Beautiful and so interesting. Alan will be in there one day! He is not that old after all lol.
Seems like I read also a while back, if one gets a special Award , whether in Songwriting or whatever, they have to wait 2 years to be elected to the HOF, but I could be wrong. Remember Alan has gotten Awards for his Songwriting recently & deservedly so!
I hope this is correct and explains it better, where the new Fans will not think Alan doesn't deserve it.. It's all a process.

I was Happy for Kenny Rogers. I really love his video "Islands in the Stream" I think he may be re-doing it now. I recorded it from TV a long time ago. I think it was w/Dolly or Wionna Judd. Anyone remember this? Relax, Alan knows we love him and he is THE Best, Jeri

Brenda I'm so sorry you didn't get to go. It was a Great Concert for a great cause. I enjoyed the speakers telling about "the Blue Note Fund" and Alan's "Nisey" introducing him was precious. When Alan sang her song he wrote for her, it brought me to tears. Even my husband said "it was the best Concert and Songs in great order, he has seen lately." we have seen many Alan Concerts too. It really was Special & all the money went for C.R.Cancer and that is wonderful."Nisey" looked wonderful to have gone through so much. She's a sweetheart, so glad to see her there.Like Denise, My Sister and others, she is now a cancer survivor, Bless her Heart!

Harriet and Jean, not sure why this is so difficult but once I had mine disappear and since I got this one back on, I have kept it. ha! It was Alan Throwing me a pic lol(actually my grand daughter got it for me, but she said "I want  you to have it, since You love Alan's Music so much".) She is so precious, like Alan's daughters seem.
 Perhaps use a photo out of your pictures, that is what I did. BHR might could tell you more.

Dizzy, so happy you will get to go to St. Augustine. I have simply given up on outdoor events due to my asthma. It has been severe recently, so I will stick to indoor only. I hate to limit myself, Loving this wonderful weather!

We went when Alan Introduced the first "Precious Memories", it was filmed by Gac I think too, but his family and both Alan's Mom & "Nisey's mom were there. They looked so happy, also his Girls were there & Mattie sang along with Dad in her seat, "Nisey "was there too . It was a great time. I simply love this second one also. The music and Harmony  w/the Wrights and Alan's voice never sounded better. It will be a hit I'm sure with all his Fans and a good Gift for anyone.. Everyone take care and enjoy ! Jerrie

It was awesome!!! A. J. seemed to really be enjoying himself. Densie talked about colon cancer and told about the awards and etc A. J. had won. Alan is so funny, he had on a beautiful black shirt trimmed in blue at the top, told us Denise told him to wear that shirt because blue was the color to support colon cancer. He talked more than usual last night.
Sharon, Carol, Betty and her friend and I had 4 row seats almost in the center, really good seats.
We held up the GOOD TIME signs, he pointed to them and said something about the Good Time signs and asked the camera man if he got us holding them up.

Sharon, I am so sorry we didn't see you Ladies. we started to go in "Margaritaville" too but changed our minds and went to The Palms. So glad all  of you got to see one another, it's so much fun. I saw your sign, we were by where Alan comes on stage, but it was really close.I saw the one who got her Hatch Show Poster signed by Alan, he was right near us then. at one show a while back, I got to see Terry, Sue and others.It was so nice to talk with Sue for a while. I also met Monty that night and shook hands with him. he's such a nice guy! So sorry I missed you Sharon
I haven't been able to be out for a while, still walking with a cane & going for tests. You really met lots of friends!
