I love this video and song, but agree "That's Where I Belong" is perfect..upbeat and classic Alan! I play it at our favorite little honky tonk here in Indy...the Sugar Shack. Everyone that knows me there, knows I love Alan, and always play his songs on the juke box for me....it's been like that for over 20 years and I don't see it changing anytime soon. Maybe we should email Cindy and let her tell Alan to release it next.
Happy Father's day!

Thanks Beth for sharing that article...it was very heartwarming, and in the very essence of Alan! It made me mad this morning when I read the negative comment on cmt.com, from someone about this video, saying basically that Alan knows nothing about the "working man" since he is worth over $200 million and lives in a 38 million dollar mansion. Sounds like that person was very jealous.

It's amazing the outpouring of love and volunteers to bring Nashville and the surrounding areas back to normal. We stopped in Nashville the week after the flood, coming up Hwy 100 off the Natchez Trace. I cried when I saw all the mud on the streets, up the trees and bushes, and all the people's belongings piled high along both sides of the road. People were out working every where. My husband and I love Nashville and visit there often. It's a shame about the oil catastrophe in the Gulf, but it took the attention away from our beloved Nashville.

I too was disappointed with the show. Alan is getting snubbed a lot lately. He barely got any recognition for the great "Good Time" CD, and hope he doesn't get left out again for "Freight Train". He definitely is in a class all by himself. The show was NOT very country, except for a few of the acts as already mentioned by the rest of you...most jokes were not funny, and the host was a complete disaster. Country seems to be changing and I personally am not real happy with it.
