I live in MI, but am going to visit my daughter in CT to see A.J.  He just has to stand there and I will be delighted.  This is my 3rd show.  I was at the Palace with Trace, wrote a review and won 2 tickets to Caesar's in Windsor, Canada.  My daughter made the trip just to get me to those 2 shows and she's a doll.  So this oldie is making the trip to see her new home in Ct and of course to see Alan.  I love him and the Strayhorns.

We got our tickets through the club and are in Sec. 4, Row E.  I looked up the map and it looks pretty good to me.  Just being there will be all I ask.  Cindy is a special person who works very hard.  I'd love to meet her one day.

You may get your wish for A.J. to come close to Toledo.  The Palace and the Pistons and the Venue rights are all in a mix-up at present and the chief guy went to work for the Illich family of Red Wing and Tiger fame from Detroit.  So there may be a buyer for the Palace and Pistons etc. before too long, but nothing seems to be near settling down.  It would be hard to plan a concert there and then have to cancel it because of their "up for sale" condition right now with the owner having died and his wife holding the bag when she doesn't seem to want to.

I hope you'll get your wish.  I will be lucky enough to go off to CT to that show with my daughter if my health holds up.  I can't wait.  Much luck to you.

January - I have not been in an airport for 12 years and am an oldie.  I hope Alan comes wherever you live.  I am going to CT to visit my daughter and we will go to the A.J. concert at the Casino there on May 15, 2010.  I'm sure they have handicapped accomodations.  If not, we'll work it out somehow.  I am so excited and hope my health holds out.  I  hope that big handsome blonde mellow music man will come see you also.

If I could ride for long in a car, I would be happy to go to Toledo.  However, I am an oldie and my back won't last.  I can take elevators at the Palace and we ate dinner there last time and they escort you right to your seat if you are handicapped.  They also come and get you after the show and take you back to the parking log door.  They are special and Alan is more special when he comes there. 

I hope he can come and see you also.  I'll just wish if he goes to Toledo.  I want you to have fun also.  We all love Alan.  at least he knows that.  Good luck to both of us.

It's hard to leave the home you've known as "home" no matter how big or small.  I'm sure he misses his home in Noonan just as much as he'll miss this one.

But we have to move on or just sit around and be depressed.  Life must go on and a good man like Alan and his family deserve a lot more beautiful times!

To the Toledo Fan:
I live in the Northern suburbs of Detroit, and need the escort services that they had at the Palace because I am elderly and do not walk well.  My back is such that I don't travel well by car and so I got to the Palace and to Caesar's Windsor with my daughter.  I enjoyed both concerts but felt that Alan had more enthusiasm and sang for a longer time at the Palace.  The Windsor audience was nice but not as excited as we all are about Alan.  The lighting was terrific and the stage atmosphere was good. 

I'd be thrilled to have him come to the Palace again anytime.  If he comes your way instead, have a wonderful time.  We all love him or we wouldn't be pulling so hard for him to come our way again.  Good luck to both of us.  Anytime!

I sound like a broken record but I can't do a lot of walking and standing and have to count on the ASSIGNED SEATS and the elevator escort.  Last time Alan came with Trace Adkins.  I like Trace too but it was the right setting for Alan and the whole audience responded to both of them and gave them a lively greeting.  Alan stayed longer and the whole night was something to remember foreve. 

I saw him after that at Caesar's Windsor and we were a better crows at the Palace.
That crowd just responded and responded and responded.  Come back Alan - PLEASE!!!

Thanks for inviting Alan back to The Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan.  That was my very first show and I was out of my mind.  I'm an old lady and hadn't been to a show in about 25 years anywhere!!
I think my health picked up for another 10 years at least.  My daughter took me to Caesars Windsor also.  That was great but the audience was not as loose and crazy as we were at THE PALACE!!

Please come back Alan.  We love you.  I downloaded "It's Just That Way" and pre-ordered the Album.  Can't wait to see you again Alan.  The Palace took us to the elevators so I didn't have to walk far.  We ate at the Palace Grill.  Great Place!!  I'm hoping.

Alan should do his usual spectacular with this one too.  I just hope he'll come on tour and fit us Detroiters in at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Never had such a great time as that concert.
