General Category / Alan Music Discussion / Re: Has AJ ever released a live concert dvd?

I'm not sure that I know the answer to your question. It would be lovely to just sit back and watch a DVD of one of Alan's concerts. But it seems that it would be just like movies. People don't go and pay the price. They just wait for it to come to DVD and then buy it. It's sort of cheating the star. That's just a thought because I really don't know.
I would pay any reasonable price to see Alan in person anyhow but there's certainly a point to be made for Not putting out a DVD of a concert. I see the photographers at all the concerts I've been to, but don't expect to see them for sale. I think they just use them for record-keeping and review.
You might write to the Fan Club and ask about it or look in the store. I don't see any in the store - just videos on DVD. I bought the only one I know of that he did put out--of Precious Memories, Volume I. I play it almost every night and it comforts my weary bones and lets me sleep feeling comfortably. Hope this helps. Alanfan

I know this is selfish but the June Calendar is too light in color so I could not use it because I can't see the icons on my desktop page where I use the calendar for a background. It does not matter most of the time but I love looking at Alan no matter what dates are on the calendar. he is just so handsome!!!
I was thrilled to see the Review of the show at the Palace in the Newsletter. What a dreamworld I was in with my daughter at that show on February 7th. I will never forget for my entire lifetime!!! My heart still pants and my face has a huge smile when I think of it. I was truly in Heaven and can't imagine heaven being much different. Alan knows his fans very well and I love him for it.

I got a new password awhile back and now have no trouble at all. This time in Nashville from what my friends tell me, is a wonderful Fan Fair with many booths and stars. There is a booth for Alan run by Cindy and I'm sure she must be having a nervous breakdown by now with all the work that's come her way and Sharon at the office. I've never been to Nashville or to the office but would love to experience that and meet Cindy and Sharon.
Alan's people will do all they can and have time for to suit their fans. I am sure they need a vacation by now so give them a bit of a break. That's a lot of work. I'd be honored to be there helping them but it's not in the cards for me but I hear a friend who was there say it's something to see and remember. Alan would not pick people who are lazy. I truly believe that. We need to be patiend with them at ths prime time in Nashville.

I'm an old Senior but don't remember John Fogerty so am not going to invest in the album. I enjoy hearing all your comments on it. I dearly love Alan and would always make my best handicapped effort to attend his concerts. Just did one on February 7, 2013 at The Palace of Auburn Hills in MI and they printed my review in the latest Newsletter. I am still riding on cloud 9.

Anything is possible. If enough of Alan's producers want him to do a DVD of Volume II, he might just do it. He knows all the mothers in the Country and overseas would buy it and play it each day. I certainly would. I loved the 2 videos but would like to see a DVD of all of those lovely gospel songs. I certainly enjoy the DVD of Volume I.
Being from MI, I did not know many of the songs so I am playing the CD often so I can learn them. Anything sung by Alan is beautiful.

Glad Alan can get back to Australia wherein he is so very popular as he is here. My daughter regrets that she won't get to see him. She is in Sydney now for work and was so hoping that she would be going at the same time as he would be there. Oh, well, she too loves it there and maybe will take some vacation time with her husband next time and go back again. She sent me a picture of the Opera House which is right outside her hotel window. The only hardship she has is the time change. It takes a few days to accommodate that part of it but she's glad she got to go - and for FREE because of work.
She'll get to see Alan somewhere when she returns. I saw him at The Palace on Feb. 7th and he was his usual SPECTACULAR!!!! and Cindy made it all more special by giving us the May calendar with a beautiful picture of Alan and the late George Jones, Alan's friend. I pray for George each day and Alan and Denise especially. It's my way of keeping them on my mind along with the beautiful music.
Until we see him again, Alanfan

Kentucky GirlAlanfan:
I could not have said it any better. You will take Alan into the future if you try hard enough. You must be a special person to have said all that and I agree with every word. Alan needs to be in the Country Music Hall of Fame too.

It is no surprise that Precious Memories II is doing so well. It's the usual beautiful. I saw the videos of the 2 songs with the Strayhorns and the Wrights. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they should do another DVD concert with that one also??? I'd be the first buyer.
When I'm feeling down, I play the Volume I before going to sleep each night. It sooths my soul and warms my heart. Thank you Alan and God for giving his his faith and talent.

How do you find out what # Alan's record is on Billboard and how do you find out how many copies are sold so far. I want him to sell a million! That Gospel album is wonderful and I'm one of the happiest mothers around. Hope Mama Ruth is a happy mom with a wonderful and talented son who is God-loving.

I had a hard time having to get my passwords out for Ticketmaster but that was not their fault. I liked Ticketmaster because I am handicapped and cannot go up escalators or stairs to the ticket office to pick up tickets and Ticketmaster mails them to you. You can frequently pick your seats within a certain distance from the stage at an inside venue. I was at The Palace of Auburn Hills and even though it was my first time with Ticketmaster, I did not have to run to a box office to pick up my tickets and then suffer all night from the Arthritis. I welcome having the tickets mailed to me. That way they are still authentic.
I now have a file with all my passwords in it: Ticketmaster, Verified by Visa, Fan Club discount and all the others I needed. The first time was a headache but I like it better this way.
For those of you who had a hard time, I am sorry. Write to the club and maybe they can suggest a different method for you. I got lucky I guess, but missed out on better seats because it came as such a surpirse with the change. I ended up with a friend getting me moved up. It was a wonderful show no matter what.

I know Alan will get there one day but I think you are right that those organizations have issues with this humble man and he doesn't make any noise with them but ignored some stupid rules over time.
The fans can only do so much and if you write you get some "nothing" - "thanks for your interest" response back. They can't ignore Alan forever. Lets just wait and see and do like he does - Have a little prayer and tell the Lord about it.
Miracles come from above. Just buy his Volume II Gospel Album. He'd like that now. Alanfan
P.S. Forgot I already commented on this. I'm so crazy about Alan
