Thanks for starting the May Thread HariAJfan.  I am not on here as often, but I cannot believe there is no more replies on the May thread.  It is already the 10th and usually there are alot.  Peoples lives must be too busy sometimes.  I find mine is and I do not have the time like I used too. 

The weather here in Canada today is cool and cloudy.  It has been really nice the last few days so we can't complain.

Hello Everyone (Elaine, JeanB, HariAJfan, JeriMS, January and anyone else I have missed)

I just spent the last while writing something on here.  When I went to post it.  It did not save it.  so now I am trying again.
I hope everyone is doing well.  There has been alot going on in my life between work, spending time with my grandson and health issues.
The weather has been cold and rainy. I am just looking out my window and I see light snow flurries.  It is time for summer not this stuff.
My grandson is over two years old and he is so adorable.  We have so much fun with him when we see him.
I bought Alan's Precious Moments II.  I really like it.
I can't believe where the time goes.  I used to have so much energy.  But now that I work to 5pm and my job is stressful, I am tired when I get home and don't feel like doing anything.  Also, I have been having a few health issues that I am dealing with which doesn't help.  I had high cholesterol for awhile.  Now I am on pills for high blood pressure.  My doctor says my sugars are also high.  He said I do have diabetes, but we will try to control it with losing about 10 lbs and dieting.  NOT SO EASY.  Everything you eat seems to be high on sugar, salt, fats, etc.  It's boring just eating fruit and vegetables.  Since December, my left side of my neck has been sore and stiff.  Going to physio for that.  Seems to be helping alittle.  Then in January, I got what you call "Trigger Finger".  my 2nd last finger on my right hand stays bent and locked.  It has to snap to be put in position.  It can be painful.  Ususally the worst first thing in the morning.  I am having surgery on that Monday morning.  Not fun getting older.  But I keep telling myself it is not the end of the world and there are alot of people with alot worse problems.  So count my blessings.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas.  I do hope this is a better year for everyone. 
It was nice being off work between Christmas and New Year, but it was very busy.  We had lots of people over. My husband's mom was in the hospital with pneumonia at the start  of the holidays, but she did get to come home, but could not go anywhere. So we spent time with her at her home.
Everyone is getting sick around us, since Christmas. Either this bad flu that is going around or a cold.  My husband just got it on Friday.  He has a mix of the cold and flu. I hope I do not get it.
I got to go to work now.  Talk to you all soon.

Happy Belated Birthday Kimberly.  I am glad you had a great one. I am sorry I am really late.  Too many things going on and just not enough time.

 I don't post on here as much as I used to, just because life just seems to be getting busier and I have been dealing with health issues like high cholesterol, high blood pressure and now the doctor says that I am diabetic type II.  He has not put me on medication for the diabetes yet as he wants for me to try watching what I eat, lose about 10 lbs. because he said we might be able to control it.  That is not as easy as it sounds.  I belong to a walking group and walk twice a week, 5km and 7km.  Now I have shin splint issues.  Very painful.  So now I have an appt to see a foot doctor to see if I need orthodics.  It just never stops.  Anyways, I will get thru it.

I did post last week, that I had a surprise for my husband for his 50th birthday.  He did not want a big party but just to get together with a couple of our good friends. Well, what I did for him was on Friday evening I booked a Hot Rock massage for the two of us.  That was unbelievable.  That was the first for both of us.  We would both do that again.  Then on Saturday evening, I invited two couples to come to our house for appetizers and drinks.  Then a limo came and picked us up and took us to a restaurant in the Toronto area, which is about 1 hour away from our house.  Then he picked us up at the restaurant two hours later and drove us to downtown Toronto to a Comedy Theatre, where we watched a two hour comedy improv.  We all had a great time and lots of laughs.  The limo picked us up from there around 12:30am and took us home.  The way to go when u want to drink and not drive.

Happy Birthday Betty.  Yes we do share the same birthday.  I don't know about you, but this will probably be my only 12 12 12.  I don't think I will be alive for the next one in 100 years.  I made sure I bought a lottery ticket today.  I heard there was either a little girl or boy, who was 12 years old today and time of his birth was 12:12.  Well I hope you had a great day.

Thank u BHR.  It was a great day.  Spent the morning hours with my husband.  Then he had to go to work.  Then this evening went out with my friends for dinner.

Well I am glad you are back and feeling better.  I have been away from here too.  Just too busy.  I do miss talking to all.  I haven't seen any postings from JeriMS. Hopefully she is doing okay.  Anita

Thanks for starting the December thread.  Just like Kimberly, it has been quite awhile since I have been on here.  Wondering how everyone is doing.  Elaine, Gwen, BHR, JeriMS, JeanB, January, Harriet & others.  Weather is just starting to get cold here.  We had a bit of snow yesterday but it won't stay as we are expecting warmer weather this week.  It would be nice if we had the same winter as last year, but I doubt it very much. 
Kimberly & JeanB, Het is bijna Sinterklaas dag voor je in Nederland en Belgium.

Everyday until Christmas will be busy.  Going to Christmas parties, family gatherings, buying presents, putting up the Christmas decorations & getting my baking done.  Also will be celebrating my husband's 50th birthday.  He did not want a party, so I am doing a little surprise for him. His birthday is on Wednesday, but will not be celebrating until the weekend.  I can't really say what it is at this time because when people reply to this post it shows up on my email and he might just see. 
Well I better go.  Have to get some food ready for my husband's mother side family reunion.  We do this every year around Christmas at one of Dan's cousins home and in July at another cousins home, who has a pool.    Usually around 50 people show up.   Take care all and hopefully talk to you soon.  Anita

Alan, have a very Happy Birthday.  Enjoy with family and friends.  At least I can say I share something with you.  My wedding anniversary is on the same day as your birthday.  I still remember the day before I got married, I received in the mail from the fan club, a picture of you that you signed, "Dan & Anita, Keep Living on Love, ".  That touched my heart.  Thanks.  Also, I share being born the same year as you.  Just you were born a couple of months before me.  1958 was a wonderful year.  Again, have a wonderful birthday and hope you have many more.
