Harriet, happy to hear of the good news. Glad to know too that you're continuously making improvement and getting well, though slowly, but surely.
Jerrie, continued prayers for you, your family and most of all, your MOM. Hugs to you.
It's Veterans Day and my family and I give our heartfelt THANKS to all the men and women in the military, those who have served and those who are currently serving, and to those who sacrificed their lives, maimed and perished, for their services and loyalty to their country to help preserve and nourish the freedom all the people of America cherishes and are privileged and honored to have. THANK YOU, TO ALL OF YOU! YOU ALL WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN.

Hello, AJ Friends!
Well, this is my first post this month. Nothing much going on here. Did get to have dinner at CB and bought a few items from AJ Collection including the CD. Yesterday (Friday) one of the 2 VA Clinics where my hubby works at here as a clinic manager had their grand opening ceremony. Hubby was interviewed by a reporter from our local newspaper. The article with his interview appeared in today's issue of the paper. He said he felt embarrassed. Don't know why. . .LOL!
JeanB, the Fort Hood shooting was horrific. Thirteen were killed and 30 wounded. I was glued on CNN all afternoon trying to make sense of what happened there. So sad. Go to www.cnn.com for updates on this incident.
Terry, been following your travels. Thanks for keeping us all updated throughout your travels and thanks too for the great reviews on all the concerts you attended. Enjoyed reading every one of them
Jerri, you, your Mom, and your whole family are in my continuous prayers.
Harriet, continued prayers for you too. Wish you all the best on Tuesday. Thanks for starting this month's thread.
Sharon, prayers as well for your great niece. What she's going through brought back memories of what I went through when I had our youngest. Had very serious complication too. Enjoy your new kitchen. That is sweet of your husband and son to do all that for you.
Jean-Az, welcome back!
Caz, good to see you posting.
Elaine, stay warm.
Hello Nelle (sorry to hear you had the flu), Jinx, Kimberly and everyone else I had amiss to mention. Take care all of you and HUGS.

BHR Thank you so much for helping me. You are right, my link leads to ABC news, yours goes right to the site. I am so glad I put it back up and asked for help. I think with story at the end of the link ALAN has a good chance. The other songs are good, but ALAN's song and story are to me unbeatable. I hope you are feeling better and again, thanks alot. I'll keep trying but there is so much I don't know and I not good at typing, I am so slow. Take Care and have a nice weekend. nelle You're welcome, Nelle. Glad I can help. Wish we can vote more than once a day. I agree with you about Alan's song and story is unbeatable.
I'm doing okay. It must have been an allergy I had, like Terry said. Still have to watch it, though, as every time I cough it felt like my asthma is going to kick in. Not coughing too much anymore but blowing my nose a lot. Not stopped up, just runny. Thanks for your concerns.
Take care, BHR

I can't figure out why they say there are 2 new songs on the CB album of Alan's. Marilyn, I think what they meant is that these are two songs that Alan has not released on an album and therefore his fans had not heard him sang them, so, hence, they're new. Not new as in no artist has recorded/sang them before and therefore are fresh new songs. Thanks for the lyrics and the link, by the way. My first thought of those songs was that they're beautiful and I love them, but if Alan releases them as singles the radio will likely not play them and we'll all hear that same old song and dance again about them being too country.

Oh envy envy - have a good time guys!!! Say hi for me - I will be at one or the other of our local cracker barrels buying stuff whiole you are schmoozing wth the tall handsome country music superstar!
I'm envious too, January. I'm kind of hoping that Alan will do a signing session at the Cracker Barrel here in Newnan too. Of course, then again, if he does and it's also in the morning, I'll be out of luck there too. I don't drive and obviously hubby has to go to work that morning. BTW, I told him last night we have a dinner date at the Cracker Barrel on Monday and I'm paying. He gave me the kind of surprised/confused look as I've not treated him on a dinner date before. He said, "OK, what do you want now? And why Cracker Barrel?" I told him about the Alan Jackson Collection and he gave me that groaning again and shook his head. LOL!

Well, this is not exactly about Alan's music but thought I thought I'll share it with you all. What a great way to start my day as I checked my emails. I subscribe to tennessean.com and today's headline put a big smile on my face: "See inside Alan Jackson's mansion." The caption read, "Set on 135 acres in Williamson County, this three-story plantation-style home boasts a 20-car garage, a six-seat theater, an 8,000 square foot gym, a vineyard, a sandy beach and more. For $38 million, it could be yours." Here's the photo link to a more extensive views of the Sweetbriar inside and out. . . .50 pictures in all (I can only dream):

You're welcome, January. Thank you for thinking of me and being very concern for my health. Please read my new post on the Off Topic/October thread below.
Elaine, Cracker Barrel have online store you can order Alan's collection items from, as January had said. Visit their website. I posted above also the photo link to some of the items included in the collection. And to ALERT you and others here reading/posting, they have the items on a separate page. Click on the link I posted and then look at the list on the right hand side. Click on THE ALAN JACKSON COLLECTION to open the page. I want to renumerate again that the items showing there are just some of what's in the collection. There are 40 items in all in the collection so, again, I'm sure that they will add more as the 2nd of November approaches.
January, I love the long sleeves white shirt, Christmas ornaments and yes, the black shirt, among others. Of course, I'll buy the CD too. . .probably wear it out listening to it too often. I thought the guitar shaped iron skillet is cute but I think hubby would think I've really gone crazy if we buy that and I use it cooking breakfast with. LOL! It makes me laugh just to imagine me cooking scrambled eggs on it. :-) I do want to see the the rocking chair and guitar also. I play guitar and have one that is as old as our oldest son. Hubby bought it for me as a birthday/Mothers' Day gift the 2 months after our son was born. . .had my birthday couple of days before. . .30 some years ago. It's still in good shape although I've changed the strings twice and the case its in is somewhat falling apart already. I have not played it a very long time. I'm afraid the strings will break again and hit me on the face this time around. It came close the last time it happened. BTW, all the items in Alan's collection, I believe, are autographed.
Take care all.

Just stopping by to say hello! to you all. I feel completely recovered from the surgery although couple of my incisions still feel just a bit tender. However, I woke up this morning not feeling too good. By 10am or so I started with the the off and on coughing, runny nose and scratchy throat. I think I'm coming down with bad case of cold. Hope it doesn't get any worse.
Harriet, glad to hear you're doing a lot better.
Jean-AZ, I'm sorry about the loss of your loved one. You're in my prayers. Good to hear you took your son's advice.
Caz, good to see you posting here again.
Terry, happy to hear you recovered your lost luggage.
Elaine, I can imagine how hard it must been for you going back to the hospital.
Hi, to everyone else reading this. You all take care. HUGS.
