[Watching the Opening Ceremony now. It's always exciting - looking forward to the competition. My prayers to the family of the young man who was killed this morning. Very sad.It's been sunny here & cold. The snow will be here for awhile-it'll take lots of warmer weather to get rid of it.Three day weekend for me. We have Monday off for President's Day. Our company has never had this as a holiday, but it works out this year with some of the other holidays being on the weekend. The roads were a mess, but I made it to work & back. I certainly didn't enjoy the drive though. Then, this morning around 4am there was an earthquake centered about 90 miles west of Chicago - 4.3 on the scale. No damage & no one was hurt, but it was felt in 7 states. We felt it here in SE Wisconsin. Just a little something to add more excitement to our lives! LOL Everyone was talking about this morning at work - some people slept right through it. It was certainly all the talk on the local radio stations.Hope everyone is doing well!]

[Hi friends. Been laying low for a few days. The flu/cold thing is running through work & my family. I get on to read a little bit, but not much energy to post. I have a Facebook account, but I don't get there hardly at all. After spending the whole day on the computer at work, this is the only place I come to regularly to read & post. Just don't have the time & I'm kinda all computered out at the end of the day.The weather has been frigid here this week, but supposed to warm up into the 30's next week. Alan Jackson’s new album “Freight Train” will be released in March and if you look closely at the photos inside you may see some familiar landmarks. The country music singer-songwriter was in Lynnville today, shooting photos around town.

This is not the first time Jackson has chosen Lynnville. Some of the scenes of an earlier video, Sissys Song, were shot in a Lynnville area church.

The new album "Freight Train" is set for release March 30 from Sony Music Nashville. The 12-song album was produced by longtime collaborator Keith Stegall and features eight songs written by Jackson. It also features Lee Ann Womack, who joins Jackson for a duet of Vern Gosdin's song "Till the End."

The first single, "It's Just That Way," hit No. 32 this week in its fifth week on the Hot Country Songs chart. The track was released digitally to online retailers on January 12.

Jackson hits the road for a brief stint tomorrow, starting a four-city Canadian tour followed by a concert in San Antonio, Texas in February. Then, he's on to Houston in March.

I've had some problems with my right shoulder this weekend. Tried to lift the grocery bag from the cart to the trunk with one hand and wrenched my shoulder. I should know better, but it was cold & I was trying to hurry. Icy/Hot and a heating pad have helped, but I still don't have full range of motion. Keep forgetting I'm not 25 any more.
