I've been so down in the dumps so it's pure and "t" refreshing to come upstairs and read all of the F.U.N. Y'ALL have been having.....(((I caught my door while open backing out, mind you, onto a post in the garage....this a.m. before heading to Monroeville. Now I need a brand new door NOT TO MENTION YOU CAN come close to closing the door .... f/the drivers side of course) What in the cornbread h e double "L" was I thinking backing up w/the the door still open??) I don't get me?? I think I need to go to Brice!!)))
All I can say is just keep those reviews coming!!!
and a big thank you!!
Melanie, it took me a while to figure out that you were talking about the car door, right? What were you doing, looking out the door instead of turning your head? Just glad you weren't hurt! You be careful, girl!

BHR, hope you are doing better. As Jeri said, stay ahead of the pain with meds. There's nothing wrong with taking them right after surgery. Also, cannot express enough how important it is to really not do anything, even if you feel like it. Like making the bed, lifting anything over 5#, etc. You won't feel it now, but later on if you over do. I'm speaking from experience. Of course, it's never been difficult for me to take it easy! LOL! Seriously, healing, healthy prayers for you.

Hi Everyone! Thanks Terry for telling us about the calendar. I put it on my desktop. Hope it doesn't bring me bad luck. I never turn a calendar until the date. Soooooo, we'll see if it's just a silly superstition!
Sue, I need to make more than an Alan Concert list. You notice Terry was very tactful and didn't mention anything about my lack of a camera! LOL!
My assistant treasurer was over this morning and we were checking on the church's accounts. So glad I have an assistant. Jean/AZ, I'm another one who is not computer savy. Something is messing with my aol email. I can see the list of mail, but can't open it! Aggravating. LouAnn, congrats on the new niece. Fun is right for you for you for Christmas shopping! I bet you are a super aunt!
Terry, thinking of you and your new semester. You go girl!
Listening to "Good Time" on our local station. Seems like it's been more than a week since I heard Mr. Jackson sing it in person. When's my next concert trip? LOL!
I go to the first meeting of our fall bowling league tonight. Looking forward to that. The lanes are trying to get a daytime league. I'm gonna try and talk some of my friends to join that. I would prefer to bowl during the day. Don't really like the drive after dark.
Well, Terry what did you have at the Red Lobster? Happy Birthday to your son and daughter. My son's birthday is the 4th.
Elaine, 40 deg. is a little cool for me. It's been in the 60's at night and 80's & 90's during the day here.
Y'all have a great Thursday, what's left of it!

As you can see I'm up again in the middle of the night. Harriet, sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Don't want to alarm you, but they were just saying on the news yesterday that the N1H1 flu is strange because there is no fever. Did you go to the dr? How are you feeling now?
Good to see you Jean/AZ. We'll all get the hang of this new board yet.
I would not be able to take care of small children. I physically cannot do it. My back is killing me! Of course, I didn't feel it Sunday, but it started bothering me yesterday afternoon. Oh well, I didn't plan on taking care of any small children anyway. That reminds me Terry, how is your back from lifting that little girl Friday night?
Jeri, I don't want to be known as the "Church Lady". LOL! I think of Dana Carvey, I think that was his name on SNL.
Shingles must be contagious. I don't care what the drs. say. Now our preacher has them! We've had 3 other members in our church get them within the last 6 weeks.
Terry, I noticed you said it was hot, but not Humid! Like you are in the desert, we're in the tropics in the summer. It's surprising how much cooler it is going up to the mountains from here. Bryson City was cool and not humid. The humidity doesn't bother me unless I have to be outside. It was hot Friday night for sure.
I'm thinking of all you returning adult students. Hang in there! Been there, done that, got the diploma on my wall! LOL! It is so worth it.
Elaine, that is so sweet about Georgie missing his play pal. Jerry & I watched Beverly Hills Chichichua (sp) Sunday evening. I had seen it before, but I wanted him to see it. So cute.
I had full intentions of bringing my camera Friday night and forgot it. I need to start using it and not making excuses about it! LOL! I would have loved to have gotten some pictures of Terry and her friend and myself. Also my own pictures of Mr. Jackson, Monty, the band, and Josh Turner. Maybe I'll remember it for St. Augustine.
Y'all have a good Tuesday. It's been cooler here, not so hot and humid!

Good News BHR! Just don't overdo and be a good patient and do what the dr says. Probably not lift anything of a tin can and of course you can't do any housework. Merry Maids to the rescue!

Thanks for posting the link Sue. I just read it on the "news" of the fan club. I was gonna comment on that before I read your post. I hadn't even thought of the "Little Rascals" describing the kids. It's an adorable video, I'm even getting over the Food Fight! LOL!

Yeah, I agree BHR. We had a good thing going with Astrid and Joey and Sibenik and others. I wish I'd had a chance to at least say goodbye! It IS expensive to be a member when you're from overseas. We can't take advantage of some of the benefits we're entitled to because we can't get to the concerts without paying a fortune to get there. Meet and Greets don't help us either (pity) unless Alan decides to come visit us. So this change has got a downside to it. I understand why overseas people balk at joining. I'm feeling pretty sad about this.
Dee, I'm wondering if maybe a European/Overseas Fan Club could be started. Or maybe you have one. I'm glad those of you who have to pay extra, have done so. But for those unable to, it seems like they could join in on the discussions, etc.
I miss the ones who aren't posting too.
