We are a quiet bunch! Did I miss something about Harriet? Are you having more problems? Sorry to hear that.
We went on a little trip over to GA Lake Country for the 4th. We were on hwy 278 and passed a really nice house and there was a bus there that looked like a band or entertainer bus. I know several singers live in GA, this was between McCormick, SC and Greensboro, GA. Anyone know where Zac Brown, John Michael Carroll or even Alainea (American Idol singer) are from. Seems like CW had an article about the GA singers and I haven't been able to find it.
Just wanted to say hi to y'all!

Wishing all of you in Canada Happy Canada Day and Happy Birthday America for the USA! Those of you in other countries you can join us.....
It's cooled off some here in SC, but still hot, but at least not triple digits.
Y'all have a good day

Well, it sounds like the Atlanta show will be a bust! I wasn't planning on going because I'll be in Cape Cod at that time. But now, I'm glad I didn't get tickets. Did y'all ever get them? I have gone to some concerts even with FC tickets and had seats that were not close because of pre-sales, etc. I am another who has gotten spoiled by the 2 row seats. Maybe I'll see Alan again someday.

Good Monday Morning Y'all! Can't believe the month is wending down. Time goes by so fast. Jeri, sorry to hear you are not feeling well. You are in my prayers. Ray, also sorry about your losses and glad you took the time to post. It has been typical HOT southern weather here. I just stay in the A/C house. Thank goodness we have A/C. I'm not planning on seeing AJ anytime soon. Even though he is gonna be within a few hrs. from me, I have other plans for the same time.....So glad I have gotten to see him in the past. We have been watching the CWS in Omaha. Sorry USC loss last night to Arizona, if Arizona wins tonight, it's over. I say I have been watching, but I'm not able to manage to stay awake until the end, then have to check the score when I do wake up! LOL! Enjoy your week, stay cool.....

Just thought I'd start off the month, I know there are some posts on May for June.
Not much this way, cloudy day. Thinking of all of you headed to Nashville this week. Enjoy Fan Fest and all that goes with it. Hope it isn't too hot for y'all.

Jean/B, Congrats to Natalie on placing 4th in the special Olympic competition.
Harriet, it wasn't rush hour when we went through Atlanta. ha ha. The biggest problem is the drivers who are in such a hurry and reckless. Atlanta is not one of my favorite places to drive, however, I'm telling you Dallas/Ft. Worth is worse!
I ended up not going to any of the festivals. It was so hot! I just enjoyed being in my A/C house. Jerry worked on Monday part of the day. We did drive over to a little town and go shopping for him and eating out. My grandson and dil came out Sunday and we went out to dinner.
We are getting the rain from Beryl, which we need.
I watched a special on PBS about the Battle of the Bulge and the veterans who came back 60 years later. It was very moving. I had heard of the battle, but to see the conditions our men/women and allies fought was heart wrenching. The people in Belgium and France were so appreciative. I'm glad I watched it. Fitting for Memorial Day.
I'm wondering about Jean/AZ also. Hope she is ok.
Y'all have a great Wednesday.

Beautiful pictures Harriet. You are right, a beautiful bride. So glad you and your husband were able to go.
Dizzy, you and Maize are the traveling ladies for sure. Don't you just love a cruise? Enjoy Nashville. I don't think you could pay me to go back to Nashville for Fan Fair. I only wish I had started going 20 years ago.
We had a nice trip to Ala, the drive through Atlanta was a breeze. I drove both ways. After driving through Dallas/Ft. Worth a couple of years ago, I told my husband, Atlanta is nothing!
I hope y'all have a very nice Memorial Day. We have all kinds of festivals going on and the weather is supposed to be nice. A hot air balloon festival, catfish festival, and other stuff. I would like to go to the Freedom Weekend Aloft. I've been several years. Usually the weather doesn't cooperate and I have only seen the balloons launch once. But it is fun to walk around. Jake Owen is one of the featured entertainers this year.
Don't forget to thank our service men and women for the sacrifice they make for our freedom.

Gwen, having been in Nashville in the summer myself. Niagara Falls is a much better choice. Nashville is very hot and humid during the summer. October will be a nice time to visit. Who knows, maybe you'll win enough to pay for your fall trip. LOL!
