I joined a couple of months ago, when should I receive my newsletter?

REAL WORLD NEWS is the official publication of the ALAN JACKSON FAN CLUB. Newsletters are sent out by email quarterly (four times a year) in February, May, August and November. Current and Back issues of Real World News can be viewed/download under Fan Club Downloads in the Fan Club section of the website.  Each newsletter contains every bit of up-to-date ALAN information that we can get our hands on, plus, pictures of your favorite country music entertainer and a way for all his fans to have a link with one another.

I need an AJ fix!!! When will Alan be in my area?

AJ Show dates are usually confirmed and announced about 4-6 weeks prior to his actual performance. Remember to check back often so you don’t miss ALAN in your area!

Can I send my favorite Alan memorabilia to the fan club for Alan to sign?

Absolutely! Autographs are always a treasure. We do ask that you limit the number of requests you send to one per year. Due to Alan’s busy schedule, requests often take 3-4 months to get back. And don’t forget to include a SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE so we can return your signed item to you. We do not accept monetary payment for return postage, you must send in a completed return envelope or label along with actual stamps. Due to space limitations, please keep your item in an envelope or small box. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will delay return of your item.

What contests or giveaways do you offer?

Throughout the year we always try to offer fun ways for you to win tickets and autographed items. We also giveaway Front Row Tickets to many of Alan’s shows! Just log into your online fan club account, click on Contests and/or Front Row Tickets and follow the prompts.

Will Alan personally read my letter?

Due to the volume of mail that Alan receives, it is impossible for him to personally read and/or answer every letter. However, he loves to hear from each and every one of you and asks us to try to respond in some way to each letter Alan receives, which sometimes takes longer than we’d like. So please be patient with us when waiting for a response. If you need a quicker response, please include a SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE with your letter. We pass along all your wonderful thoughts and comments to Alan on a regular basis.

I love all the pictures in the newsletter and the website. How do I get my picture included?

We rely on fans like YOU who love to submit their pictures and reviews for the newsletter and website. It makes the newsletter and website more special. To have your AJ related snapshot included in the newsletter and website, you can email it (please keep file size under 2MB).

I wrote a great review of the last show I attended. Can I submit it to be printed in the newsletter?

Yes! We actually feature one fan written concert review in each newsletter. Here are the guidelines:

1. In 500 words or less, write a review of the next AJ concert you attend. Be specific - show off your knowledge of Alan, his songs and the Strayhorns!
2. Email, snail mail or fax it to the Fan Club. Make sure you mark it "ATTN: My Concert Review." (Emailing would be the ideal form.)
3. If we print your review in the Real World News, you'll receive TWO TICKETS for the next AJ show in your town (based on availability)!

If your submission is selected it will be printed in the Real World News Newsletter and posted on Submissions will be edited. All submissions are assumed intended for publication. Any material submitted will not be returned.
